UHasselt is more than its seven faculties, four research institutes, three research centres, 6,500 students and 1,400 researchers and staff. As civic university we are strongly committed to the Region and the world. We want to make our society smarter, more agile and better. Through education, research and technology transfer.
Throughout our history, innovation has been – and still is – a constant in everything we do. When it comes to nurturing talent, pushing scientific boundaries and stimulating innovation, we believe in doing things differently. In a constant changing world, we have to. That is what makes UHasselt the university of today.
Hasselt University’s approach to education is unique. We encourage students to look beyond books and classrooms. We equip them with knowledge and skills. Action and interaction. Thinking and doing. Intensive guidance. That is what being a student at UHasselt is all about. Our alumni are critical, engaged, agile and versatile professionals.

Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is an internationally oriented university in Brussels, the heart of Europe. Through tailor-made high quality research and education, VUB wants to contribute in an active and committed way to a better society for tomorrow. That is our mission. For more than 180 years VUB has helped build a better society as an innovative, free inquiring and critical thinking university. We are linked to the world from within our international capital Brussels. A never-ending quest for knowledge, insights and enlightenment form the golden thread in all we do in education, research and social commitment. At the same time we continue to advance our very personal and democratic approach that enables all the members of the VUB-community to grow, so they can successfully take up their roles in the world of today and tomorrow. VUB is radically humanistic, radically urban, radically mild.

Within VUB, the Multidisciplinary Institute for Teacher Education (MILO) brings together the expertise of researchers with very different but complementary profiles. Knowledge is produced, shared and valorized (among others, but not exclusively) within three lines of expertise: (1) Urban Education in 'super-diverse' (global) city-regions, (2) Professional development of teachers and teacher educators (through practice-based research), and (3) Future Classroom.

werecricle is a sustainable fellowship that shows organisations the way to circularity. We believe that there is a circular pathway for every organisation. Circular organisations are better equipped to meet the challenges of tomorrow and leave a liveable world for future generations. We provide (uncensored) advice, share our knowledge and build alliances with and between our partners. werecircle is a group of do'ers who want to leave behind a better planet. How? By working with organisations on a circular path. Successful change is something you do together. Because together you (re)do things better.
